As the first game to enter my blog, The Art Of Theft is really something special. If you are familiar with such games as 5 Days a Stranger or Trilby's Notes - created by the same guy as The Art Of Theft, Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw - you should know the main character quite well. In the game you control Trilby, the master thief, and your object is to rob everyone out of their fortune, basically. You do this by being stealthy.
In essence, the game is about thinking your tactic for robbing everything in a specific area. The game is divided into "Heists", or more mundanely, levels. If you are spotted one too many times or you use too much of Trilby's only weapon - the zapper that's installed in his umbrella - Trilby decides that the Heist has not gone up to his standards and he escapes the scene. With succesful heists you get points that you can use to buy skills, that really help the stealing process quite a lot.
All in all, The Art of Theft is a really fun game. With a nice background story too, there's no reason not to at least try the game!
